Few days ago, when I go to a rental of internet near of my home and opened a one of the famous site, Youtube, I was searching some funny videos to reduce the bloody stress in my mind. And at last, I found some videos which had same tittle “Stand Up Comedy”. As far as I know, these videos are about people who are giving a speech or exactly sharing about popular problems today with little jokes inside.

At that link, there are some people who famous enough in my country that I know. They are Raditya Dika, Pandji Pragiwaksono, and Ditha Dee Abigail. And then, I’d started to see the Pandji’s video in the Stand Up Comedy Indonesia.

The reason why I choose the Pandji video is because the theme which he talking about really appropriate with something which always disturbs my mind. About a problem that could say “it’s only a simple problem, isn’t it? Then why they make it to be an extraordinary problem? Is it because of we are developing country? Or is it because of a bad habit of Indonesian which always made them to be proud because of their foolishness? A country which always proud because of something precisely could make it to be dishonorable. Is it something like that?”

In that video, he was sharing about the issue that often talked by society today, especially in Indonesia. The issue is about “The legalization of marijuana”. And then, do you know what? I even heard he said that “if only I have to choose between cigarettes and marijuana, I’d like to choose marijuana”

For the first time, it really makes me dizzy when he said something like that. It even gives me big “WHY?” because I know that marijuana is an illegal thing in Indonesia and it is forbidden to consumed by Indonesian. And after I finish watching the video, I know the reason why he liked to choose marijuana than cigarettes. And honestly, I will also say that the marijuana is better than cigarette.

I was thinking that maybe there is a simple reason for this case. First, people never thought that maybe there is advantages inside of the marijuana. Whereas, in our Quran has already written that everything in this world must be had an advantages. And for marijuana, even though it was an illegal thing in Indonesia, I do believe that marijuana is also have benefits.

Afterwards, I also agreed about what Pandji said. He is really disagree with people working for government which really believe and said “people who were consuming the marijuana will disposed to a criminal and it really dangerous for society”. And do you know what happen next? Pandji just do laughing because he thought that’s like a foolish statement. And finally, he comments with said that “people who got an effect from the marijuana, is really impossible to do a bad thing. They not only got a difficult to pick up a gun or knife to torture someone, but they will also need a more power to make their body keep stand up”.   

When I hear that pandji’s statement, I am laughing too because if I thought it was right. I also ever see people who got effect from marijuana. For example like in a “Scary Movie”. In that movie, I saw there are niggers who were burns marijuana leaves and suck them just like a cigarette. It even makes me laughing because of what he is doing when he sucks that thing. With a weird face and funny talking, they are really become funny people.

And do you know what next? They are keep laughing on and on without care themselves. With thick smoke which come out from their mouth, plus their style which like a drunk, I thought that this is really impossible if they can do a criminal like a robbing a bank, killing someone or pickpocket a bag of someone.     

It was really like an example which given by Pandji. He acted just like a person who got an effect from marijuana and wanted to robbing someone. He tried to show a characteristic of that person with a totter body and unclear speaking. He also told that those people who got effect from marijuana will disposed more laughing than talking. He told that it’s because of there is an annoyance inside of nerve from essence of marijuana which make those people imagine about uncommon thing.  

Another effect that I know from Pandji’s statement is there is a problem which stimulates the way they are thinking. So, it makes them looks like a fool or has a slow respond about something. 

After that, I also hear that he said “I rather to become fool for a while than become an impotent man because of cigarette. It’s better, you know. Because even though I’ve a got problem while thinking about something, I still can make generation even it will takes much time in process to make it”. 

And Yes! I realized because of his words once more. I also think that there are so many sentences which he said can make people to think and say “yes, that’s really right”

Suddenly, I remembered a speech which has told by my senior about advantages of marijuana. At the first time, I really don’t know the advantages of that thing which even hated by a lot of society. And finally, I know that the leaves of marijuana can also purposed as one of ingredient to make a medicine. She told that if we use those leaves of marijuana appropriate with a right dose, then that thing will be a something that even can save a human life. 

And if I am thinking through, cigarettes are more dangerous than marijuana, especially for a woman. You can see that fact at the letters behind a cigarette’s box which said “MEROKOK DAPAT MENYEBABKAN KANKER, SERANGAN JANTUNG, IMPOTENSI DAN GANGGUAN KEHAMILAN DAN JANIN”

  Nevertheless, there are still so many people who keep smoking cigarette. And from various informations of various sources that I’ve got, much of them said that they can feel comfortable and reduce bit a stress inside of their mind with smoking. As examples, maybe stress that caused by daily problems which is like about work, education, or even a private problem like a love or something like that.

However, there are also many persons who said that they really feel nothing when they smoking. All they know is only suck the cigarette and exhaling the smoke. They really can’t feel the differences between while smoking and not smoking. 

Besides that, do you ever thought about what the “real advantages” of cigarette? Is it can used to one of ingredient of making medicine which can help human life? Or as a simple question, have you ever see a man who sick, and then get well after he smoking the cigarettes? It will be big NO, right?    

Maybe, the one of factor that influence why there is only cigarette in Indonesia is because of there are many areas in Indonesia which had tobacco field that can be source as a basic ingredient to make a cigarette. For example like a province that near with beach or sea and that’s why it is really suitable to plant tobaccos. 

And not only that, marijuana is also an expensive plant and quite hard to get the seeds. So, if we really want to, I think that maybe we have to go to another country. Another factor is maybe the cigarette is something that already famous from a long time ago and can influence the infestation of Indonesia.

So, if I can ask you, what will you choose between the illegal marijuana and the famous cigarette? Is it a marijuana which can heal people or cigarette which can influence our economy?
