Once upon a time, there’s a boy 9 years old who’s
named Adjie. He lives in the very small village with his family. Although the
village very small, but that village very precious for Adjie. That’s village so
far from the city. But the people who live there so enjoy lives there.
Adjie who was nine years old that time was in
elementary school grade 4 in the one of elementary school in that village. That
time was happened the euphoria of football world cup 1998 in France. And surely
there’s always the football tournament in that village to shows that this
country very enthusiastic about world cup in France. At that time, Adjie didn’t
know how to play football. All he knew only Brazil team who was participated in
the world cup 1998 football tournament. There was a final match between Brazil
against France. And the end result was 3-0 for the France victory.
From those events Adjie started to like football and
started to play football with his classmates. Adjie has a brother who was six
years old at that time. But even though his age was six years old, he always
asked him to play football with him.
One time, the children of class 6 try to make a
football team and plans to make team shirts for their own classmates. Shortly
after a week, t-shirts
for the class 6 team squads has been created. T-shirt patterned black and white
lines that were popular in 1998. And have a sponsor in the middle of the
t-shirt that "SONY", the football team that has a style shirt is a football
club named "Juventus" which originated in Italy.
After Adjie and his friends know that
children six grade have a football team jersey. And they do not want to lose
with the older class. So they took the initiative to make the football team shirts
for their own classrooms. Adjie did not know what kind of shirts will be for
the 4 grade. And he only followed what was said by his friends. The first idea of
making T-shirts came from a Adjie’s friend with name Imam. He wanted the shirts
that have a pattern of black and blue lines and have sponsor in the middle of
the t-shirt that “Pirelli”, the shirts are owned by the Internazionale Milan team
that originated in Italy.
“Hey friends, let’s make the jersey too. Just like the
children from 6 grades”. Imam starts a conversation.
And then Galih replied, “Well then, but I want to have that
jersey have a different pattern with the others.
Yeah sure, we’re not going to lose with them. I have some
idea about the pattern. Let me make some examples. Imam said and immediately
took a paper to make some example.
In the Sunday morning, Adjie and his
classmates went to the tailor who is always making football team shirts for
children. They all walk away into the tailor. And Imam takes the example that
they want to make the jersey of football. That’s picture of jersey
Internazionale Milan he held while walking. They all walked about one kilometer
to get there. Because in that time they thought that walk more faster.
In a minute they all arrived there
in the tailor absolutely. Then Imam asked to the tailor man that he want to
make a football jersey. And they all just want to make twelve jerseys for the
team. There’s no back up player or substitution player, and the player that twelfth is Adjie’s little brother that given squad number 12.
Unfortunately, the jersey that they
want to have can’t make by the tailor man. The tailor man thinks that the example
is too hard to make because manufacturing must use a silk screen in that time
if you want to look very good results. But they all not desperate, then the
tailor man gave one of the examples that maybe the children want to use that as
a jersey team.
“Son,
these examples too hard to make”. The tailor man said.
“But
sir we want to make this one”. Imam grumbled.
“Its
impossible son let me show you another example. The tailor man said and he try
to bring some example.
And the children want to see that
example. In a minute the tailor man gave that example to Adjie’s friend. The
example looks like so different with the example that brought by Imam. There’s
no stripe on that jersey and the sponsor name looks so ridiculous for them.
That’s jersey is belong to Manchester United Football Club from England. The
jerseys color is red and there’s no stripe. But the children have no choice,
and at last they want to make that jersey thought they are very forced about
that.
“How
is it? Do you like this one?” The tailor man said.
“Do
you have another one sir?” Adjie replied.
“No
son, this is a very good team I think. So I want to make it for you all if you
want to have it. The tailor man said.
“Hmmm,
alright then. Imam replied. And he looks very disappointed with that.
In a couple weeks, the jersey is
done to make. And Adjie got squad number 4 in that team. After the classmate
has a jersey they are always playing football every Sunday. They are always
training in that day because they want to have a strong and solid team. And
just in couple months, now Adjie knows how to play football very well. His
favorite position is play as a centre back.
In the end of the school year,
there’s some party at the school. And the children six grades want to held a
friendly match of football. And the children from 4 grades invited to be their
opponent. Because they are have a jersey of football as well.
The match will be held in the Sunday
morning, after the party at the school. And so here is the time. That match are
looks like UEFA Champions League match between Juventus againts Manchester
United. They all very enjoy the match. And they all play looks like they knows
each other thought they are in the different grade. And the final result is 1-2
to 4 grade victory.
And at the end of the match they
greet each other just like playing in the big match. There are no disappointed,
hate, and others. Adjie so glad their team can win the match, after he always
training really hard. And he makes some friends there. Because of playing football.
He always learned every single time that he always play football for the team.
He thinks that in football there are
no enemies if we have an opponent to play with. The enemy is ourselves. Because
if we play football with the coolness, the opponent will always respect us.
After he graduated from the
elementary school, Adjie continue his study to the junior high school. and
surely continue playing football too. Now, his favorite position is a
Goalkeeper. Because he have a favorite player as a goalkeeper too. His name is
Mark Bosnich from Australia.
Adjie’s goal is play to the national
team Indonesia and for Manchester United. Until now, he always plays as he can.
From football he has so many friends. Not just in that village he lives, but
also in the outside of the city. Such as Lampung and Yogyakarta.
